Our Story
How our shared vision began — and how we’re shaping a wilder, more connected future for everyone.
The People’s Park for Nature (PPN) is a growing network of interconnected green and blue spaces — from gardens and fields to ponds, rooftops, and nature reserves — managed by or for local communities to restore nature and deepen our connection with it.
It’s a living, breathing park without boundaries — one that belongs to all of us.
Our Vision: A Park for Everyone and Everything
Across our Park lies a mosaic of spaces — community and privately owned land, nature reserves, growing spaces, woodland, playing fields, office rooftops and allotments — all united by shared values of nature restoration, creativity, and community collaboration.
Together, these places form our People’s Park for Nature — a patchwork of life where people and wildlife thrive side by side.
Releasing Our Potential
This park is more than a place — it’s a movement.
Here, everyone is free to contribute in their own way, whether through hands-on restoration, creative expression, or simply spending time in nature.
We’re building a park alive with art, storytelling, and community events that celebrate the natural world and strengthen our connection to it — helping each of us rediscover our capacity to care, create, and collaborate.
Our Unstoppable Nature
At the heart of the People’s Park for Nature is a bold mission: to bring degraded and damaged ecosystems back to life.
By reintroducing native species, restoring natural processes, and healing landscapes, we can create resilient habitats that support wildlife, improve water quality, and help tackle climate change — ensuring thriving ecosystems for generations to come.
The Power of a Positive Movement
The People’s Park for Nature is built on optimism and inclusion. We’re a community of enthusiasts, changemakers, and nature-lovers who focus on what we can do — together.
In this movement, people are the solution, not the problem.
